iSkibike is Perfect for Adaptive Skiing
iSkibike is easy to ride using minimal physical strength and coordination. It provides a very stable platform with a low center of gravity. Small skis on the feet helps balance and provides braking which creates confidence and control while learning, carving a turn or coming to a stop. Best of all, iSkibike's unique seat design allows you to ride the chairlift without dismounting the ski bike.
iSkibike is really fun to ride. It is great for those skiers with blown out knees.
iSkibike is so easy to learn that beginners ski the slopes their first day.

iSkibike Features and Benefits
State-of-the-Art Skis
iSkibike uses releasable downhill ski bindings to attach skis to the ski bike allowing you to choose which skis to use. Use the proper skis to match snow conditions or upgrade to the newest skis when they come on the market. Like downhill skiing, the best skis provides the best fun.
|
Safety Always
iSkibike incorporates on-slope runaway prevention into the front and rear suspension systems. This bike will not run away down the slope without a rider. iSkibike attaches its skis to the bike with releasable downhill ski bindings to reduce the risk of injury to the rider should they fall and to enhance runaway ski bike prevention.
|
Smooth Ride
iSkibike has a full suspension that gives a creamy smooth ride on groomed slopes, floats through the powder with ease, and absorbs any bump, jump, or mogul you encounter. The progressive rear suspension has 8 inches of seat travel supported by fully dampened shock absorbers. The front suspension is provided by air pressure adjustable downhill mountain bike forks with 4 to 6 inches of travel.

Ski Area Access
Many ski resorts restrict use of ski bikes on their slopes. The American SkiBike Association maintains a list of ski resorts allowing ski bikes.
Adaptive Skiers have Access
It is against the law to deny access to ski runs and chairlifts to persons with disabilities using a ski bike as adaptive equipment. See our Access page for more information.
Ski resorts sometimes have blanket rules against all ski bikes. iSkibike is different from most modern "mountain-bike" inspired ski bikes. It uses foot skis so there is no foot traffic around the chairlifts or on the slopes. iSkibike is so easy to load and unload chairlifts and the rider sits on the ski bike on the chairlift so it won't fall off.
