iSkibike is easy to ride using minimal physical strength and coordination. It provides a very stable platform with a low center of gravity. Small skis on the feet helps balance and provides braking which creates confidence and control while learning, carving a turn or coming to a stop. Best of all, iSkibike's unique seat design allows you to ride the chairlift without dismounting the ski bike.

Super Cushy Seat

iSkibike has a full suspension that gives a creamy smooth ride on groomed slopes, floats through the powder with ease, and absorbs any bump, jump, or mogul you encounter. The progressive rear suspension has 8 inches of seat travel supported by fully dampened shock absorbers. The front suspension is provided by air pressure adjustable downhill mountain bike forks with 4 to 6 inches of travel.

Ski areaS allow ski bikes ?
Adaptive skiers are entitled access to ski areas regardless of what their ski bike policy says. It is against the law for ski areas in the US to deny access to their ski lifts and runs to persons with disabilities who use iSkibike as adaptive equipment. The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 & 2008 (ADA) bans discrimination against persons with disabilities and courts have affirmed that ski bikes are in fact adaptive equipment.
For recreational skibikers, the American SkiBike Association maintains an extensive list of ski resorts that do allow ski bikes. Ski Area requires a leash to the ski bike while skiing ?
The manufacturer of iSkibike strongly recommends that a leash NOT be used between the rider and the ski bike while skiing downhill. iSkibike does not need a leash. It won't run away down the slopes without a rider. The design and engineering of iSkibike mitigates that danger. But there is a big danger to the rider having the equipment being pulled onto them during a fall. Don't attach a strap or leash between you and the iSkibike while skiing downhill. Ski area requires a leash to the ski bike while riding the chairlift ?
The manufacturer of iSkibike recommends that a leash NOT be used while riding the chairlift. The iSkibike will not fall off the chairlift. The rider sits on the ski bike on the chairlift and the chairlift safety-bar secures both the rider and the bike on the chair. Using a leash is not necessary to keep the bike from falling off the lift but using a leash is dangerous to the rider should it get snagged on the chairlift during the loading or unloading process. The Veterans Administration will purchase iSkibikes for disabled veterans' personal use. Successful applicants must have support of their medical team and therapists. It can be problematic finding the proper forms on the VA web site so we have included them here.
