Adaptive Skiers have Access
It is against the law to deny disabled iSkibike riders access to any resort ski lifts and runs. While some ski resorts restrict use of ski bikes on their slopes, Federal and State laws ban discrimination against persons with disabilities. Thus, public ski resorts can not restrict or forbid any adaptive ski equipment, including ski bikes. Resort policies must be waived to provide adaptive access for disabled persons using a ski bike.
"[Disability] discrimination includes a failure to make reasonable modifications in policies, practices, or procedures . . . necessary . . . [for the] accommodation [of] individuals with disabilities . . ." Americans with Disabilities Act - Definitions.

Ski resorts leasing land from the U.S. Forest Service are required to adhere to the Americans with Disabilities Act, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. The USFS Accessibility Guidebook for Ski Areas provides authoritative guidance to ski areas to comply with both the ADA and the Rehabilitation Act. The website ada.gov contains a wealth of information for businesses to comply with the ADA. The website also has a form where one can register complaints.
Every state in the US has anti-discriminatory laws applying to persons with disabilities. Courts have determined that ski bikes are adaptive equipment and ski areas need to allow their usage for persons with disabilities.
"For those of us with limited mobility, the sensation of sliding down a mountain is priceless. The freedom, the speed, the wind in the face and resulting adrenaline rush are coveted commodities hard to come by with a disability." -- Bob Wassom

The American SkiBike Association maintains a list of ski resorts allowing ski bikes, and a partial list of ski resorts with published policies allowing adaptive ski biking.
Leashes
Some ski areas require all ski bikes to use a leash in order to access the chairlift or ski slopes. iSkibike does not need a leash, and leashes are dangerous to the rider.
The manufacturer of iSkibike, Shroombob LLC, strongly recommends - NO LEASHES:
iSkibike won't run away down the slopes without a rider and the rider sits on the iSkibike on the chairlift so it won't fall off. While intended to be a safety measure, leashes create an immediate risk of personal injury to the rider if the leash gets snagged on the chairlift, or pulls the equipment onto them during a fall.
The manufacturer of iSkibike, Shroombob LLC, strongly recommends - NO LEASHES:
- DO NOT attach a strap or leash between the iSkibike and its rider while skiing downhill.
- DO NOT attach a strap or leash between the iSkibike and a ski lift chair or rider while riding the chairlift.
